I was deeply touched and moved when I heard about Samahope,
a crowdfunding platform that allows people to donate directly to doctors
providing lifesaving medical treatments in sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and
Latin America. I decided to fund Dr. Shankar Rai who is raising money to fund
burn repair treatments in Kathmandu, Nepal. Patients suffering from burns
without care can develop severe disabilities as the burn injuries heal and create
contractures (scar tissue). Funding is
needed to provide 50 burn repair treatments, each costing $550. Take some time
