Today is National Wear Red Day, part of the Go Red for Women
campaign by the American Heart Association. This campaign raises awareness for heart
disease—the No. 1 killer of women. Each day almost 1,100 women lose their lives
to heart disease. Heart disease is often called the silent killer because it
usually does not have noticeable symptoms. Check your risk factors for heart
disease and find out more information about the Go Red campaign at www.goredforwomen.org . But most
importantly, spread the word and advocate for heart disease prevention :)
